November 2007:

• First few Self Help Groups were formed in Burundi – Eighth African country where Kindernothilfe introduced the Self Help Group approach.

March 2008:

• Cluster Level Association – Training Manual development workshop takes place in South Africa. Project Officers from Swaziland and South Africa participated. Facilitated by Mr. Murugan.  

May 2008:

• SHG – National Coordinator of the Philippines will visit

June 2008:

• First few Cluster Level Associations to be formed in Zambia – Seventh African country where Kindernothilfe introduced the Self Help Group approach.

October 2008:

• National Coordinator’s to meet at Ethiopia. SHG-National Coordinators from 8 African countries will come together for their annual meet.  

November 2008:

• National Coordinator’s to meet in South India. SHG National Coordinators from 7 Asian countries will meet for the second time.
